The program
The XL Pilot Staffing Crew Alerts program sends recurring automated text messages to the people who crew, maintain and travel on the flights we staff: contract pilots on the XL Pilot Staffing roster, and the maintenance personnel and passengers of the flight departments we staff. Messages contain trip assignment offers, schedule and itinerary changes, crew and aircraft assignments, departure and arrival notices, and operational alerts such as weather or delay notices affecting a flight the recipient is involved in.
Who receives messages
Only people who have given express written consent to receive text messages: pilots who have joined the roster, and the maintenance personnel and passengers of the flight departments we staff. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not text anyone who has not asked to be texted.
How to opt in
Tick the text message consent box on the pilot roster form, or text JOIN to the XL Pilot Staffing number. Anyone who is not applying to the pilot roster, such as maintenance personnel and passengers, opts in by texting JOIN. The consent box is not ticked by default, and consent is not a condition of joining the roster, of being offered work, or of any purchase.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies with flight activity, typically up to about 15 messages per month.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. XL Pilot Staffing does not charge for the messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages. You may rejoin at any time by texting JOIN or by completing the roster form again.

Supported carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider.
